Wiradjuri Walking Track, Wagga Wagga
Freshen up with a walk along a section of Wagga Wagga’s Wiradjuri Walking Track while enjoying the natural beauty of the Murrumbidgee River.
Good starting points for your nature-based experience are either Wagga Beach, or the Wagga Wagga Visitor Information Centre in Tarcutta Street.
The Wiradjuri Walking Track covers around 42 kilometres, circling much of the City and exploring riverbanks, hilltops and everything in-between. It also winds through Silvalite Reserve and Pomingarlarna Park – perfect for a little wildlife spotting or enjoying some of the best views over the City.
The Wollundry Loop is 12.1 kilometres and a more leisurely walk, following part of the Murrumbidgee River and the perimeter of the Wollundry Lagoon.
The track is marked with 11 sign-posted access points, although you may join or leave the track at many points along the way including at the Visitor Information Centre and Wagga Beach.
The Beach area is the perfect spot for a picnic with plenty of shade. There are also great BBQ facilities and a playground for the kids.
