The Farmer’s Goat, Ariah Park
The Olivers, a fifth generation farming family near Ariah Park, acquired a small herd of registered British Alpine Dairy Goats to provide their growing family with fresh milk. The elegant black and white does, with their placid personalities, have thrived on the dryland Riverina farm inspiring Jarrod and Leanne to branch out into goat’s milk soaps and skin care products.
The Farmer’s Goat products are made by hand, in small batches using the traditional cold process method. The Olivers have control over the complete cycle from breeding through to feeding and milking, producing a product that is pure, natural and sustainable.
Goat’s milk is full of nutrients and a natural emollient that helps soothe and moisturise a range of skin types. The Farmer’s Goat gives you a choice of plain and unscented, honey, oats and chamomile soaps and products containing quality ingredients including lemongrass, lime and essential oils such as rose geranium and lavender.
Plans for the future include a small commercial dairy that will see the label offer a selection of milk, cheeses, and sweet treats as well as farm tours. Watch this space.
