Pickled Pantry, Cootamundra
With its trademark pink and orange painted striped brick walls, the Pickled Pantry is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach for Cootamundra locals and visitors.
Affectionately called ‘the pickle,’ and located in the town’s arts precinct, the cafe and pantry features a fusion of eclectic furnishings and fresh food. Trevor and his daughter Corrie demonstrate their support of the town by striving to use local ingredients in all meals and stocking local produce on the shelves. On ‘the pickle’s’ reinvigorated menu, choose from artisan toasts and sourdough breads, bagels, croissants, scones, bruschetta, sandwiches and burgers, soups, pies and lasagnes, and the aptly named Pickled Breaky as well as the Pickled Platter.
Finish off a meal with an icy treat from the tantalising gelato bar or a selection from the constantly changing display of cakes and desserts. The business has also recently branched out with the Pickled Puddle, a kiosk at the Cootamundra Town Pool.
