For over one hundred years, the Reid family have farmed in Mimosa in the heart of the Riverina. Six generations of sheep farmers have perfected sustainable and low stress handling methods that produces succulent mouth-watering lamb.
Today Phil and Janet, together with their four sons, manage all aspects of the property using techniques passed down from Phil’s father and grandfather before him. The family is as passionate about the welfare of the animals and the sustainability of the farm as they are about the quality of the produce.
All lambs are born and raised on the farm and left alone to graze in large paddocks on a diversity of natural and planted grasses, ensuring they live a stress-free life. In return, this gives a superior tasting cut of lamb.
Youngest son Jason is a qualified butcher, packaging the lamb on-farm in their Health Authority approved butcher room. While second eldest Dan delivers and sells the hugely popular fresh produce to Sydney markets – enticing customers with the Mimosa burger and other tasty lamb treats.
