The moment you step through the antique iron gates, and cross the relic bridge, Limone is a visual and gastronomical experience. Griffith’s newest restaurant is built from the Piccolo family’s love of travelling, collecting and learning. From the industrial wood planer turned chargrill, recycled fire bricks and timber in the walls, to furniture from across the globe; each piece has a story, restored as a labour of love.
But Limone is without a doubt Luke Piccolo’s stage; along with fellow chef and business partner Federico Tidu, on which they explore their ardour for produce inspired fine dining. The pair has worked in restaurants all over the world and co-created a suitably influenced menu, which also draws on a profusion of locally sourced products.
An evening begins with a complimentary appetiser, served by the friendly and knowledgeable front of house team. It is from here that the chefs orchestrate a memorable dining experience of well thought out, seasonally unique dishes that you graze your way through. The Verandah offers a more casual setting with a small bar and beverage menu.
