Exclusive Hot Glass Gallery, Wyalong
During her career as a bookkeeper, West Wyalong resident Elaine Marshall nurtured artistic aspirations of working in the world of glass.
Her lead-lighting hobby turned into a fully blown love affair with glass and six years ago, Elaine opened the Exclusive Hot Glass Gallery. This unique gallery is filled with Elaine’s stunning and colourful hand-made creations of kiln-fused and slumped glass. Elaine imports sheets of glass from the USA, which she designs, cuts, and shapes into extraordinary pieces including jewellery, plates, platters, bowls and vases. Each item takes from two to five days to make, including firing time in one of her five kilns.
Between creating and curating, Elaine is also studying and experimenting with new techniques as she explores her art, acknowledging that the variety of designs and ideas are endless! She is thrilled by the success of her gallery in the past six years, and is humbled by the knowledge that her glasswares are in homes around Australia and the world!
